DETROIT (AP) — Fiat Chrysler is contributing $400,000 to a Detroit neighborhood fund as a part of a neighborhood advantages settlement tied to its new meeting plant on the town’s east facet, the automaker stated Monday.
The cash will fund enchancment tasks in Detroit’s Chandler Park, West Finish and Riverbend neighborhoods. One other $400,000 will probably be contributed in 2021, based on Fiat Chrysler.
Neighborhood members and Detroit’s Planning & Improvement Division decide which tasks obtain funding. The town put together land for the plant. The neighborhood advantages settlement requires Fiat Chrysler to spend money on the encircling neighborhoods, jobs coaching and schooling.
