Drama unfolded within the Trinamool Congress late on Friday when MLA Jitendra Tiwari did a U-turn inside 24 hours of tendering his resignation from the celebration. Tiwari reportedly stated he had made a mistake and urged the celebration management to not settle for his resignation.
The Pandabeswar MLA had resigned because the chief of the Asansol Municipal Company on Thursday and give up the celebration hours later to observe insurgent chief Suvendu Adhikari into the BJP.
On Friday, nevertheless, Tiwari met senior Trinamool chief Arup Biswas and ballot strategist Prashant Kishor at south Kolkata’s Suruchi Sangha membership. “It was my mistake. Biswas confirmed Tiwari’s resolution to stay within the TMC. “Jitendra Tiwari was, is and will probably be with the Trinamool Congress. He’ll battle towards the BJP as a loyal soldier of Mamata Banerjee. There are issues in all households however they are often solved,” Biswas stated.
Tiwari’s resignation was broadly seen because the fallout of the rebel by Suvendu Adhikari, the face of the TMC supremo’s Nandigram motion. The political heavyweight ended his two-decade-old affiliation with the celebration this week and thanked Banerjee for alternatives she gave him. Adhikari had resigned as a member of the Mamata Banerjee cupboard and from a number of different posts that he held final month.
Aside from Adhikari and Tiwari, Banerjee acquired two extra resignations within the final 48 hours. Two-time Kanthi Uttar MLA Banasri Maity and Barrackpore MLA Silbhadra Dutta resigned from the celebration’s main membership on Friday.
