Dehradun Police will get transit remand of Mumbai TV actor
The crime department of Mumbai police has arrested a 40-year-old TV actor for allegedly dishonest folks by posing as a police officer, primarily in Uttarakhand and Chandigarh, an official stated on Tuesday. Apparently, the accused used to journey by air to Dehradun, Chandigarh and different cities in north India to commit the crime. He then used to fly again to Mumbai, the official stated.
The accused had acted in tv serials like ”Chittorgarh ki Rajkumari Padmini”, ”Chhattrapati Raja Shivaji”, ”Savdhan India” and in motion pictures like ”Gulamkai and Bahanchor”, the official stated.
He stated unit-8 of the Mumbai crime department had obtained a selected data from the Dehradun Police concerning the alleged involvement of the accused in dishonest an outdated girl and stealing her gold ornaments value Rs 5 lakh.
A case was registered at Patel Nagar police station in Dehradun underneath varied sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) for dishonest, the official stated.
He stated the Dehradun police tracked down the accused to Oshiwara in Mumbai with technical help.
After being knowledgeable by Dehradun Police, the Mumbai crime department nabbed the accused on Monday night from his residence in Oshiwara.
Throughout questioning, the accused initially refuted the costs and instructed the police that he was working within the TV business and has repute. He later admitted to his involvement in dishonest circumstances, following which he was arrested, the official stated.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the accused dedicated three offences in Nagpur and two in Uttarakhand, he stated.
The accused has been handed over to Dehradun Police on a transit remand, he stated.
