Malayalam movie Jallikattu, which is India’s entry for 2021 Oscars, will quickly hit screens in North America. Movie manufacturing and distribution firm XYZ Movies has acquired North American rights to Jallikattu, reported Deadline.
Directed by Lijo Jose Pellissery, Jallikattu stars Antony Varghese, Chemban Vinod Jose, Sabumon Abdusamad and Santhy Balachandran. The movie is concerning the violence and depravity that lurks simply beneath the floor of on a regular basis life. In Jallikattu, this facet of human nature is revealed when a buffalo escapes simply because it’s about to be slaughtered. Chaos ensues because the animal runs amok and with everybody within the village chasing after it, social order is upended, previous feuds come effervescent to the floor and all pretence of civilisation is swept apart.
